Extremely sad news for all involved in the restoration/maintenance/fundraising/love for this bird over the years This is terrible. I’m happy there were no injuries, but there are not many B-17s left on this earth, and now only 14 are airworthy. It’s truly a tragic loss of one of the greatest aircraft ever built. Hopefully some parts will be salvaged from this crash that can benefit other B-17s that are in the process of restoration.

This is terrible. I’m happy there were no injuries, but there are not many B-17s left on this earth, and now only 14 are airworthy. It’s truly a tragic loss of one of the greatest aircraft ever built.

Hopefully some parts will be salvaged from this crash that can benefit other B-17s that are in the process of restoration.
