We stopped at the National Zoo specifically to address our Dippin’ Dots needs. Worth it.

That’s Jay, the Border/Lab puppy… that I will not be adopting. :-(
Heather and I spent an hour with him this evening and he’s gorgeous and well-behaved (for an 8-month old) and playful and he seemed to like us both… but the timing is just not right. I just don’t feel comfortable adopting a dog right now, particularly a puppy, knowing I would be entirely responsible for raising it, at least until Heather moves to Rochester.
I only hope that he ends up being adopted by a great family that can give him the love, time, and attention that he deserves. Unfortunately, that’s not something I can do alone at this point.
I just need to remind myself that there are plenty of dogs out there who are in need of adoption. Priority 1 is getting Heather to Rochester. Once that is settled we can move on to building a life together that includes a great dog of our own.

An ex-coworker taught me a new scarf-wrapping technique that she learned on Pinterest.
I could be a scarf model, no?
Here. Have a silly animated version, too.

It’s hard to look like an angry drummer while wearing an argyle sweater and a warm scarf.
EDIT: …and slippers.
