Failure - Stuck On You

4:29 for April 29th

This is a perfect song - filled with great allegory.

I thought I’d drop you easily
But that was not to be
You burrowed like a summer tick
So you invade my sleep and confuse my dreams
Turn my nights to sleepless itch

Failure - Daylight

6:01 for June 1st

About 3 minutes in you’re thinking to yourself “Wow. This can’t possibly get any huger.” and then by the fourth minute you’re like “Holy crap.” while Ken Anderson plays his squawky squelchy whammy wahwah lead. If music was war, this would be the soundtrack for a slow motion battle as rock and roll brutally attacks other hapless genres.

King Missile III - Gay, Not Gay

It’s amazing that [a sans-profanity version of] this got heavy airplay at WBER back in 1998, and placed #24 on the year-end countdown.

The song is still hilarious, but I can’t imagine it getting played today without fallout from the community… and the FCC.

On - Slingshot

Michele posted a Failure song this morning which reminded me of of another gem by Ken Andrews, from his post-Failure project - On.

I can’t explain why this is the only On song I’ve ever heard, because this is a masterpiece.
