Y’all remember when Brian Campbell played for the Sabres?
*sigh* Those were the days.
I’m going to miss John Oliver as the host of TDS. That’s as much a credit to his talent as a comic and as a host as it is to the strength of TDS writing staff.
We went to the art gallery today. I was a well-behaved 12 year old. (Taken with GifBoom)
I made this a few years ago and it’s been sitting in my drafts ever since.
It’s particularly gorgeous video from WRC Sweden; I believe it was 2011.
I present it as evidence that rally (particularly WRC) is the most impressive motorsport on the planet. Here we see a car speeding and drifting at 100+km/h on snow and ice through lush forests… and Jari-Matti Latvala looks ridiculously calm, almost bored, in the drivers seat.

An interesting model of our solar system’s path as it travels through space in the Milky Way.
Certainly a departure from usual models that show the Sun as a static object, which it certainly isn’t
This is badass.
This is perfect. I wish I knew where I could find the original video. It looks like it could be a NOVA animation, as it is very high quality.
Thinking of the solar system in this way is very satisfying for me. I can’t really explain it, but staring at this just makes me feel calm. We’re all just along for the ride.
Charlie just got us rescued.
Sometimes something rolls across your dashboard and instantly reminds you just how much you once loved a TV show.

The first, is my favorite moment in TV history:
Here. Have a silly animated version, too.
Homeward. (Taken with Cinemagram)
This is well done.
Congrats to Ashley for creating the only Cinemagram that’s ever actually looked good to me.
