OK, so the most common response to my question was one that involved unifying multiple email accounts. That’s a fair answer.

I just can’t operate like that, at least not in a “unified inbox” sort of way. That much noise would be entirely distracting and confusing for my brain. I need my information to be separated and organized, which is why I forward all of my email addresses to my main gmail address and use some of my 300+ filters to skip them past my inbox and apply labels for organization.

I suppose I’m doing the same thing as the rest of you, but I don’t have to run yet another desktop app in the process - and I never have to worry about sync/replication/IMAP issues.

High-res How many Gmail filters do you have? Because I have THREE HUNDRED AND TEN!
Holy crap!
Every message I receive gets checked by 310 different filters.
It’s incredible that email still gets to me faster than traditional mail.(How to do this:
In Google Chrome, open Gmail > Settings > Filters. CMD+F or CTRL+F to Find the word “edit” and the total should appear in a box at the top (aka… “1 of 310”)

or
Enable the “Filter import/export” lab in your Gmail settings, export your filters, open the xml file, search for “<title>Mail Filter</title>”. The total search result will be your total filters.
If there’s an easier way, I’m all ears.)

Dear Gmail Programmers,

Please add right-click/contextual menu support to Gmail similar to how you’ve done it for Google Docs.

You’ve proven you have the skills to make this work, so I can see no reason why I still need to scroll to the top or bottom of a message to delete, archive, label, or reply to a message.

Thanks in advance,

PS: I’m by no means a code monkey, so excuse me if there is some glaringly obvious technical mumbo-jumbo reason for why this hasn’t, or can’t, be integrated.
