You’ll realize it while reading this post by Steve Yegge about what it’s like to work at Google (Kirkland office).
Here’s just one tiny tidbit that struck me hard for obvious reasons:
Amazing True Story: One day I started getting jealous of this digital piano that people were playing every day. So I sent a nice email to someone in facilities asking if there was any chance we might be able to get a guitar. She said it sounded like a good idea and she promised to look into it.
A month went by, and I started to get a little sad, because I thought they were just not interested. But I sent her a little email and asked if there was any update. Just hoping, you know, against hope.
She told me: “Oh yeah, I’m sorry — I forgot to tell you. We talked it over with the directors, and we all decided the best thing to do was to build a music studio.”
Grab a box of tissues and then read the whole thing.
A few years ago I started adding my sicknesses as yearly-repeating events on my Google calendar.
Now I’m beginning to see patterns.
The fourth week of April can go fuck itself.
Dear Gmail,
How dare you just assume this message from Jessica Alba is just spam. We love each other and there’s nothing you can do to change that.
If you ever make this mistake again I will find you and I will cut your nuts off.
Sincerely,
Steelopus

But no, really. You can’t make this stuff up.
Not 4 hours after Merlin got me riled up and arguing with a Flash-developer friend, Flash Player crashed while loading dead-simple content in Chrome.

Google Killed Bambi
OH THE HORROR
This is a 20 minute drive from my house.
You can find the precise spot the accident occurred by doing this:
- Go here: 840 5 Points Road
- Grab the little Street View icon guy.
- Drag him towards 5 Points Road.
- Notice how the road isn’t completely mapped.

Google hasn’t wasted any time in updating their ads.
This is my new go-to place for image searches.
It’s better than image.google.com in a number of ways, but especially in the fact that it continuously loads new images as you scroll down. My biggest gripe with images.google.com is that I’m constantly clicking the Next button… now I don’t have to click anything at all to get more results.
Additional filters on the left are also quite handy, especially Color and Layout.
bing.com/images might be the best Microsoft product I’ve ever used.
I’m gonna venture a guess that your dog eats poop because poop floats.
