Ain’t no party like an internet party because an internet party doesn’t involve talking to other people.
It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones this weekend. Thanks for being good people and for providing much-needed distraction and frequent laughter. I love you all.

Also, she didn’t want me to say this, but if you can donate, please do. The vet’s estimate is around $1,100. I’m trying to do what I can to help her take care of the rest of the money, but I could use a hand.
George is feeling better and Kate will be bringing him home from the vet this afternoon.
We’ve done a great job raising nearly $900 so far. Let’s see if we can get it all the way to $1,100!
Please click here to donate if you are able!
How awesome are you people? So awesome.
$500 was just an arbitrary number that I chose for the goal and we smashed through it. The ChipIn will remain open and active through the day today.
Thanks to everyone who donated and reblogged. We’ve proven once again that through the small input of many we can provide a big help to one.
Here’s the latest update on George. Let’s all send a wave of positive thoughts towards D.C. today.
Hi all.
George isn’t feeling well. Kate is having to make a tough decision.
Money should never play a role in determining the proper care for a loved one, be that loved one another human being or, in this case, feline. Let’s do our part to make her decision a little easier. I’ve seen our community do great things for each other time and time again, so let’s keep that ball rolling.
If you can help out, please click the picture to visit the ChipIn page that I created for Kate & George. No amount is too small and all of it will go straight into Kate’s Paypal account. Time is of the essence here, so please don’t delay.
Please reblog and share the link: http://steelopus.chipin.com/kate-and-george
Thank you!

Me & Kate (by steelopus)
This one time I went to my first tweetup in Pittsburgh and there were approximately 39.7 billion people in the room and it was loud and I was uncomfortable but Kate sat with me on the couch the whole night because she has awesomesauce running through her veins.
We’re all lucky to know you, Kate.
Happy birthday!

The most badass thing in this picture isn’t the multi-million dollar Cold War era variable-sweep winged monster.
Kate will kick your ass before breakfast just because you once made fun of civil war reenactments.

2 girls 1 cake
The food at Bar Pilar last night was so good that I think Kate and I are now, in some cultures, officially betrothed.
The girls: Great Company! Would dine with again! A+++++
The restaurant: Meh. Big-city/small-serving/overpriced contemporary fare. Give me a heaping garbage plate for $7 and I’ll give you the other $13 to buy yourself a ticket to join us at the David Bazan show.

Kate was somewhat pleased that I had sat down next to her - as opposed to across from her - at lunch on Friday, because she thought that would spare her from the wrath of my lens. However, she neglected to notice the (dirty) mirror on the wall across from us.
Victory is mine!
Happy birthday, Kate!
globochem:

So Kate and I hit the Radar within a few days of each other, but she wins thanks to globochem’s reblog.
Welcome to the big board, Kate!
I’m glad we could put our differences behind us and become friends.
