it’s funny how the intro of this new Foo Fighters’ song is so reminiscent of the intro to King Missile’s “Detachable Penis” that it actually evokes that conditioned feeling of adolescent imminent terror if there was a parental within earshot and you had so many seconds to shut off the radio before the guy started talking about his penis…

It’s amazing that [a sans-profanity version of] this got heavy airplay at WBER back in 1998, and placed #24 on the year-end countdown.
The song is still hilarious, but I can’t imagine it getting played today without fallout from the community… and the FCC.
