Super Moon : 2012 on Flickr.
Pretty much just a normal moon by the time I got around to shooting it, but still quite pretty.

LOOM WITH A VIEW This natural color view of Saturn, taken with the red, blue and green spectral filters of the orbiting NASA spacecraft Cassini in May, 2011, shows the rings of Saturn behind Titan, the planet’s largest moon, and Dione. (Photo via NASA APOD)
“People” often complain that NASA hasn’t done anything productive since sending man to the moon. “People” are stupid.

I’ll see your sunsets and raise you a moonrise.
WASN'T MOON AWESOME?
Asked by treets
Totally awesome.
I liked it more than The Hurt Locker, which I watched a few hours later.
It’s kind of a shame that Sam Rockwell didn’t get any recognition. It can’t be easy to be the only actor in 99% of a film, especially when you’re (SPOILER ALERT?) playing multiple roles. I thought he gave a tremendous performance.

I’m a perfectionist.
I went back outside, tweaked my aperture and shutter speed, and got a much better shot.
FYI: at 2°F, your nose hairs freeze into tiny little icicles.

I can hear my dad saying in his thick Sicilian accent: “How does that thing float up there? What holds it up?!”
If it wasn’t 2°F outside I would’ve be more motivated to get this tack-sharp, but alas, warmth trumped lunar photography on this night.
