I was standing in line to tour the new building at the Eastman School of Music and judging by the veritable sea of grey hair that surrounded me I think I many of the people were also present at George Eastman’s funeral in 1932.

Today I met Joe and Lew Pontzer. They are 85-years-old, twins, and live down the hall from each other in an independent living facility in Henrietta. They also fought together in World War II.
Joe has dementia, he spoke very little, but graciously. Lew told wonderful stories of their time in the war and growing up together in Pennsylvania.
Sometimes I can try too hard to make a photo - moving around, trying different angles, different lenses. The danger is that my conceit shows through and the technique becomes more important than the image.
In this case, after trying a few different things, I was smart enough to just show Lew and Joe - two very sweet men.
