Seven 9s and 10s

I’m just going to keep this here for a little while so I can enjoy it while it lasts.
It’s been 19 years since I gave a shit about baseball, and well, I guess I still don’t really give a shit about baseball, but my allegiances are strong and I’ve waited a long time to be able to say “I stuck with them through the hard times” and so I’m hoping I’ll finally get to say that soon. The same also applies for the Buffalo Bills. Don’t ask me how I got so lucky to become a fan of two of the most storied franchises in their sports that subsequently became laughing-stocks. It’s been rough, but my support is unwavering.

Again I find myself without time to scan an old picture, so you’ll get one from my online stash.  This is from the same photoshoot that produced my Steve & Axl entry from a few weeks ago.
It’s funny because I don’t drink alcohol and never have.
Also, I should point out that 1992 (when this photo was taken) was the last year the Pirates had a winning season.  2009 will surely be their 17th consecutive losing season, which will set the new record for all major North American professional sports franchises.  But I still cheer for those hearty little bastards and their payroll which is less than 25% of what the stupid, goddamn, doped-up, crybaby, cheating Yankees shell out each year.
