I was a fan of this song before I was a fan of the piece that it prominently samples - Steve Reich’s Electric Counterpoint, though the Reich piece has since become one of my favorite pieces of music of all time.
This definitely transports me right back to the mid-90s. It’s just another in a long line of songs that WBER implanted into my psyche.
I’m not sure I can put into words how this work makes me feel.
Few pieces of music can relax me as quickly and completely as this.
