“There was pus embedded inside your tonsils, so… it’s a good thing we took them out.”
-My surgeon, to me, at my post-op check up.
I think I can safely say I’m the only person on the planet who heard those words spoken in that sequence today.

Truthful Tuesday
Each day since Friday I’ve felt increasingly miserable.
It’s taking all my energy to remain positive.
I don’t regret having the surgery.
Day 3
Honestly, the pain has been completely bearable. When the Roxicet and the Ibuprofen are cooperating, this is hardly as bad as the dozens of bouts of tonsillitis that I’ve suffed from through the years.
The nausea, however, I was not anticipating. I’m starving and I’m ready to start eating, but each bite of anything other than these Edy’s bars brings a wave of discomfort to my belly region.
It’s a good thing these things are so delicious.
Note To Self
Vomiting is extremely painful. Don’t do that again after your next tonsillectomy.
GPOY On Roxicet.
So. Itchy.
1:15 am: a fake marimba wakes me from my slumber. Take a dose of Roxicet and eat a bowl of green jello.
I could get used to this. I think I’ll have another tonsillectomy next month.
Now you don’t!

First of many to come.
Home.
Now you see them…
