Nice, Tumblr. That’s a very professionally worded sentence.
I recommend you revise it to say:
“We’re not in the business of profitting from adult-oriented videos.”

(* And it’s rapidly increasing as the cutting/cry for help/emo crowd continues to reblog the hell out of it. Their commentaries are depressing me.)
Apparently the shit hits the proverbial fan if I pass out on the couch at 7pm on a Monday.
Anyway. Yes - what Tumblr is doing to Jeremy and Missing e is unprofessional, childish, and uncool in every way. However, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: no other service fosters a community like Tumblr’s and you won’t see me running for the hills until another one comes along that does.

I like you people a whole bunch.
“You reblogged my QOTSA song from One Week//One Band. The purpose of that site is to talk about the bands we love and why we love their music. Removing everything I wrote just so could post the song on your tumblr has taken away the entire context of my post…”
Part of what I left in someone’s ask box.
This happens a lot. Am I stupid to think it’s just bad form to reblog something and rip the words from it?
tumblr LOL.
I’ve given up trying to police this from happening because there is absolutely nothing you can do to prevent it. It happens to me dozens of times a week (I post a lot of music). It usually goes like this:
I’m glad there are people out there who enjoy the music that I post but I hate that the Tumblr culture makes people think A) that it’s OK to remove original content when reblogging and B) that they’re doing someone a favor by reblogging a post because OMG now your Tumblarity will go through the roof U R SO POPULR NOW!
Anyway. I’m trying to just stop giving a shit. It’s probably somewhat rare that I actually add any commentary that is worth keeping anyway.
Too early to really tell, but so far I’m feeling this.

(published a day late because the Tumblr queue is just awesome.)
“Tumblr’s service prides itself on ease of use. ‘Tumblr lets you effortlessly share anything,’ they claim on their website. So when a user does have a question or is experiencing some trouble with the service, LaFountain wants to make sure their support experience is also quick and effortless.”—

Rebloging for TJ, who I’m sure has a slightly different opinion of Tumblr’s “quick and effortless support.”
How....How do you reblog yourself?

You need to familiarize yourself with the fantastic Missing E browser extension!

Jeremy is a Tumblr hero!
We just had two hardware failures occur in quick succession leading to intermittent errors on the Dashboard and an outage on a subset of blogs.
Hardware failures are the norm when operating at our scale, and we’re confident this cluster should have had enough capacity to tolerate these issues. However, the failover appeared to hang and trigger a cascading failure.
Our operations team was able to quickly identify and begin recovering from the issue. We’re re-examining this specific method of failover and are thoroughly reviewing our procedures related to this incident.
Our deepest apologies to those affected. We owe you better.
A good, honest explanation. More of this, when necessary, Mr. Karp. It’s appreciated.
Um… Tumblr? What the eff just happened?
Maybe this has to do with my local DNS or something, but this is not normal.
It’s still sporadically happening. Buckle up folks, this could be a fun evening.
