The Frames - Pavement Tune

3:08 for March 8th

This doesn’t make no sense at all.

Another all-time favorite song that I’d never have heard if I hadn’t listened to WBER so much.

Wheat - Body Talk (Part 2)

3:08 for March 8th

An all-time favorite song that I’d never have heard if I hadn’t listened to WBER so much.

High-res My selections for the 2011 WBER Listener Countdown.
I still love WBER, but man their rotation was really rough this year.
I’m a sucker for anything involving José González. Junip is great.
This song has a really great groove.
It’s a pretty standard Cake sing-along.
I really think the band (and the whole genre) is way overrated, but the song itself is good.
This makes me want to shake my booty, and I’m not a booty-shaking kind of guy.
Here’s hoping for more FMGreen on the airwaves next year, a second chance for David Bazan, a fair chance to Mastodon, and a new album from Queens of the Stone Age.

FMGreen - T.S.T.R. Too

My alarm clock is set to play WBER in the mornings. This morning it went off and one of my songs was playing for, as far as I know, the first time ever on the radio.

Timing is everything.

I’m happy that of all the songs they could’ve chosen on Victory! they selected this 6 minute and 49 second epic. It probably the most well written song on the album; a true full-band collaboration.

That’s a pretty good way to start my day.

Anna Ternheim - Bridges

This song is just so damn good.
Seriously.
Just listen to this.
Please.
I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I like the fact that you depend on me
In every possible way
When your eyes wander off desperately

That you never look straight
I enjoy when you hesitate
‘Cause I don’t mind to wait
Somehow it’s keeping me safe

All I want is you, all I need is you
Everything slips away
I won’t lose you, no, you’re gonna stay with me

I don’t mind you taking after me
No thoughts of your own
Lost for words repeating me constantly
No, no, I don’t mind
In fact it calms me down

All I want is you, all I need is you
Everything slips away
The thought of us gets me through the day
All I want is you, all I need is you
Everything slips away
I won’t lose you, no, you’re gonna stay with me
I won’t lose you, no, you’re gonna stay with me

Reblogging myself for the daytime crowd. Having a bad day? Listen to this and chill out for a few minutes.
